Artists Exchange Their Works for Needs of HIV-positive Children

Small Heart with Art public organization initiated the charitable ArtObmin project in which art objects are exchange on need of HIV-positive children.

Popular Ukrainian artists Tetyana Voytovich, Maxym Detkovsky, Yulia Mokhovikova, Ihor Makedon, Olena Pronkina, Olexiy Ivanyuk, Natalia Korf-Ivanyuk and many others have joined the ArtObmin project.

“The ArtObmin program was born because of total public mistrust to the existing charitable mechanics. The swindlers going on streets with boxes and raising money, discredited the simplest way of fund raising on different requirements. As the result, society doesn’t trust most of mechanics because of their opacity, there isn’t always a confidence that donation reaches directly the addressee. And we have come to a conclusion that in this situation impecunious exchange when requirement exchanges on something in a global exchange can be the most optimal solution, and so we became the platform of a certain barter of art. For example, when the wheelchair or a course of chemotherapy is necessary for the child, they are exchanged for art object. In ArtObmin financial means don’t transit through our organization, besides any requirement passes eight stages of check”, – the chairman of the board of Small Heart with Art public organization Evgenia Smirnova, says.
