Volunteers Have Created a Garden in “Ohmatdyt”

On June 1 volunteers of the NGO Small Heart with Art opened a garden for the socialization of small patients “Ohmatdyt”, where will grow vegetables.

“Many children, who are treated in “Ohmatdyt”, do not see and do not know, how to grow vegetables and where the food comes from on the table. Because of severe illnesses, some children do not leave the hospital for years, so they get experience of communication and acquaintance with the world during treatment. It is very important to ensure that children, who are on treatment, do not lag behind in development from their peers”, noted Evgenia Smirnova, the head of the boad of Small Heart with Art.
Together with volunteers and children, vegetables on the garden were planted by popular musicians Pianooboy Dmitry Shurov and Onuka Nata Zhizhchenko, as well as journalists of the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
