On June 25, the European Business Association met with representatives of the nationwide project “Network of Superheroes Schools”
The event was also attended by partners of the School, who provide us with long-term and ongoing support.
The European Business Association unites more than 1,000 companies and is one of the largest business communities operating in the Ukrainian market.
The member companies of the Association actively support social projects, take part in charity events, and help public organizations.
It is difficult to get acquainted with having only scarce official data. Therefore, the representatives of the Superheroes School planned and held a meeting at which they elaborated on how and where the Superheroes Schools operate. Also, on how important the learning process in children’s hospitals is. On how communication with teachers and peers affects the child’s mood and desire to undergo daily painful treatment.
The School’s founder Evgeniya Smirnova told about what dreams the students and teachers of the School cherish. However, unfortunately, making children’s dreams come true is not always an easy task. After all, the state does not provide much support for this. Therefore, most hopes are rested on business partners. Evgenia’s main message was the following: “We want to change the hospital world, make it focused on the needs of a child and fill it with opportunities.”
The appeal of a little Superhero School student’s mother was especially emotional. She said how important the ability to study is for a child who basically lives in a hospital. Online lessons are extremely convenient because they can be held even while walking outside. The mother noted the work of the teachers, their attention to the child, their patience and their ability to explain everything easily and clearly. And also the atmosphere of support and care between students and teachers.
“When we were in intensive care, I told my daughter that we were in the same building as the School of Superheroes. And she replied that she wanted to get up right away and go to their classroom, meet the teachers and talk to them. She wanted to know how it feels. It made her get to her feet. She went there and had a look”- the mother quoted. Can there be a better explanation?
“The Superheroes School is not just a learning space. This is the whole world. A world that heals!” This is how the School was described by a representative of Cooper & Hunter – our permanent partner, who helps with the needs of all Superheroes Schools in all cities where they currently operate (Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Kherson, Khmelnytsky).
We are sure that the conversation has laid the foundation for cooperation and interaction between the Superheroes School and the representatives of Ukrainian businesses.
We will work together to ensure that young patients in all hospitals around the country have comfortable conditions both for treatment, learning and development!
