We continue to seek support and assistance for a crucial project – strengthening Ukrainian psychologists and psychotherapists to work with children who have been seriously injured and wounded by shellings and bombings, have had to live in basements and bomb shelters without food and water for weeks, have seen the death of their friends and relatives, have witnessed the atrocities of the invaders.
Every child who has been through the horrors of war needs special attention and care. As well as qualified medical and psychological assistance.
Therefore, the priority for today is to strengthen the team of crisis psychologists who will have the necessary skills to overcome trauma and stabilize the mental condition. Also, they will stay on top of the situation and will have a clear understanding of the mental and historical peculiarities of their supervisees. It will greatly facilitate mutual understanding and promote progress.
Today we would like to introduce our followers to incredible people from a non-profit organization “Hromada” who live with Ukraine in their hearts in far-flung San Francisco. A team of like-minded people also organized the first Ukrainian newspaper of the same name https://www.facebook.com/HromadaSF/. These guys work in the cultural and educational spheres along with their charity activities.
Since the beginning of the war, “Hromada” has been actively spreading the truth about the events in Ukraine, and taking an active part in raising charitable donations, which it later donates to the hottest spots where people are affected most. The organization also cooperates with Ukrainian charities for children to provide assistance to the most unprotected and vulnerable segments of the population – children.
“Hromada” also helped our non-profitable initiative by donating $5,000 to train crisis psychologists in Ukraine.
When we meet such enterprising, active and positive people with a desire to help, we have zero doubts about our victory. We are sure that we will be able to realize everything we planned and beyond!
We are thankful to the “Hromada” team for their help! We hope for further cooperation!
Vse bude Ukraina!
