How We Created the Superheroes Code of Conduct

25.02.19

What school rules do you know? Sitting quietly, listening to the teacher, raising your hand when you want to go out… We knew right away that this story is no good for us. But the rules should definitely take place as in every school. So our team decided to create our own rules. What are they?

First of all, these rules should help children reveal all the superpowers of the kids. To help, not to limit.
Secondly, such rules should encourage to go to class and see their friends.
Third, they should become part of rehabilitation and help children recover.
And finally – these rules should be the ones you would want to follow!

The idea of the Superheroes Code of Conduct was born by accident, because we paid attention to the London schools’ practive. One wonderful mother told the founder of the Superheroes School, Evheniia Smirnova, that children in London classes have their own list of rules that do not prohibit, but rather allow to do something. “That’s exactly what we need!” – we thought and wrote our Superheroes Code of Conduct.

This Code includes 13 rules, all of which helps to fight fears, allows to discover your unique sides and feel comfortable:
1. You are unique – be yourself!

2. Find a convenient place – sit down, anywhere!

3. Silence is a superpower, let others speak!

4. Listen to the body – drink water, go to the toilet!

5. Speak – others will listen to you!

6. Ask for help – Superheroes are always there for you!

7. Be bold – tell the teacher what you do not understand!

8. Make mistakes – it’s the way to the victory!

9. Count achievements – grades are not of importance!

10. Read daily – books are the best gadgets!

11. Tell what worries you – mark your mood!

12. Invent – your ideas are always interesting!

13. Support others – friends are around you!

But this was not enough for us. And we decided to illustrate the whole Superheroes Code and to create cool pictures that would describe each rule. The heroes of the photoshoot were our little superheroes, while Nataliia shot the content and put the idea into reality. It was definitely one of the best days at the Superheroes School, because the kids really felt able to move mountains. Now we have our super rules!
