Charity workshop with a talented illustrator Hanoch Piven

18.05.22

We’re so proud of our friends and partners, and grateful to everyone for being with us in spite of anything, be it the Covid-19 pandemic or the war!

Hanoch Piven is one of such incredible and talented friends, an Israeli illustrator honoured with numerous awards, an educator and an experienced art projects initiator.

Hanoch visited kids in the NDSL Ohmatdyt and in Zhytomyr children’s hospitals in 2020. His works of art are both simple and genius at the same time because to create them the artist uses everyday materials we usually simply throw away. Mr Hanoch teaches building associations and communicating with the world around us using anything that might turn up. Also, the act of creation helps us overcome anxiety, and better understand and express ourselves.
Hanoch Piven has recently held a charity workshop where participants used everyday objects to make self and family portraits.

Hanoch decided to donate the funds raised at the workshop to the NGO “Small Heart with Art”. This donation enabled the Superheroes school library to find a book master who will help hospitalized kids, who have suffered from the war, to find books they like. The World Union For Progressive Judaism also supported Mr Hanokh’s initiative – the librarian will now be guaranteed six months’ work)
We’re incredibly grateful to Hanoch, his team and partners for their support in this hard time!

Particular thanks to Dasha Pomeranzeva for organizing and moderating the master class.

We keep working for the benefit of kids and we hope that after our victory we will create art in the classes of the Superheroes school network, under the personal guidance of the unsurpassed artist Hanoch Piven.
